Leadership is a Path Without an End
Those seeking to be leaders should understand that whether you chose to be one or are chosen to be one, the title of leader doesn't mean you are one. Being a leader requires the daily pursuit of learning and improving.
I was elated after graduating from college that I wouldn't have to read another book again. What I didn't realize at the time was that the graduation ceremony wasn't the end of my education but the beginning. Consider the following quote.
"Except for the people you meet and the books you read, you will be the same tomorrow as you are today."
Effective leadership requires action; the action of learning to be a better leader and improving your skills. Leaders that merely rely on their title or position will soon find themselves being left behind.
